About Big Oak Ranch
A Christian home for children needing a chanceBig Oak Ranch provides a Christian home for children needing a chance and gives them a pathway to discover God’s purpose and plan for their lives. Through Big Oak Ranch and its supporting ministries, children who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or who find themselves alone receive the love, support, and resources to heal from difficult circumstances.
But it does not stop there. At Big Oak Ranch, children are welcomed into a family and cared for in ways that help set them on a course toward a full and flourishing life, discovering their purpose, developing their potential, and walking confidently toward the plan God has for their lives.

Private Placements
At the Boys’ Ranch and Girls’ Ranch, children placed by their custodians are welcomed into Christ-centered homes, where they live with their Big Oak Ranch family and are cared for daily by their housemom and housedad.
We Serve Children Through
Foster Placements
Children in foster care are placed into a home led by a licensed, Christian married couple within our Big Oak Ranch Community homes. Communities are made up of multiple homes, a lead family for mentorship, and a childcare team committed to helping children feel loved, known, and cared for each day.

Big Oak Ranch is not built around a program. It is built around a home. We provide holistic care that prepares children for life, focusing on physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Home and Family
Children are welcomed into a Christ-centered home and family led by a married housemom and housedad. Through shared meals, church, routines, conversations, and daily life shaped by the love of Christ, they come to know the steadiness of family.
Spiritual Guidance
We believe true Hope is found in Jesus Christ. Children are reminded that they are loved by God, created with purpose, and never beyond His reach.
Education
Big Oak Ranch supports children through strong educational opportunities, including Westbrook Christian School and continued support through ASCEND after high school.
Emotional Care
Many children join our family carrying deep hurt. Through parental guidance, steadfast relationships and counseling as needed, they are given room to heal and begin seeing life through a new lens.
Physical Care and Life Skills
Children receive the daily structure and support they need to grow and thrive. Through daily routines, responsibilities at home, and practical life skills, they gain confidence and prepare for adulthood with purpose.
Long-Term Support
Children at Big Oak Ranch are not simply helped for a moment. They are loved, guided, and supported over time as they mature into adulthood and discover the life God has for them.
100% Privately Funded
Private donations make this care possible, and it is provided at no cost. Big Oak Ranch does not accept state or federal funds.

Big Oak Ranch serves children through the Boys’ Ranch, the Girls’ Ranch, and Communities.
Boys’ Ranch
Our Boys’ Ranch provides everything a young boy needs to grow into a responsible, godly man. With a loving, Christian couple serving as mom and dad, this is the first real home many of our boys have ever known.
Girls’ Ranch
Our Girls’ Ranch offers a safe, nurturing home for girls who have experienced hardships beyond their years. We provide them with love, support and the opportunity to grow into strong, confident women of faith.
Communities
Big Oak Ranch Communities welcomes children in foster care into loving, stable homes led by married Christian couples. Surrounded by a Christ-centered community and a dedicated childcare team, children receive the daily care, guidance, and consistency they need to grow.
Support Ministries
Helping Children Grow Into God’s Plan for Their Lives
Big Oak Ranch’s support ministries help extend and strengthen the mission by supporting our children’s growth, equipping young adults, and helping other ministries create Christ-centered homes for children in need.
Big Oak Cattle
Big Oak Cattle is about more than the food it puts on our tables. Working with our animals helps rebuild trust and confidence, and gives children a way to put their skills to work in the service of others.
ASCEND
ASCEND is an intentional community for our graduates who want to pursue more. It gives young adults the independence to build a life of their own, with the steady support and community they need to keep growing in God’s plan.
Planting Oaks
We cannot reach every child who needs a home. Through Planting Oaks we equip other ministries to create Christ-centered homes of their own, sharing what five decades of caring for children has taught us.
Westbrook Christian School
Our children receive an exceptional Christian education at Westbrook Christian School. In the classroom and beyond, they gain the foundation and confidence to step into the future God has prepared for them.
