There are many ways you can change lives at Big Oak. Choose the option the Lord has placed on your heart and know that, like His Word, it will prosper.
Volunteer
This is our highest priority need. Commit yourself to praying daily that our highest priority needs will be met. As a true source of power, prayer can impart positive changes in the lives of our children and staff.
Our Volunteer Resource Families provide childcare one weekend a month. This time allows our Houseparents to get away, regroup and recharge so they can better serve our children.
In-kind donations for services by doctors, dentists, lawyers and other professionals are tax-deductible and make a huge difference in our children’s quality of life.

Ministry Starts at Home
Many of our children come to us in survival mode. But at their home at Big Oak, they’re able to trade chaos for childhood, loneliness for belonging and hurt for hope.
You can help ensure more children in Alabama have a home to escape the trials and hardships no child should have to face. Supporting a family helps cover the daily operational needs of a home of six to eight children. This includes equipping each home with full-time houseparents who love each child as their own and covering the cost of their home and vehicle maintenance, utilities, fuel, landscaping, furniture, appliances, as well as property, auto, and liability insurance.
