Physical donations help us meet the everyday needs of children and families at Big Oak Ranch.
Non-Cash Donation Guidelines
Your generosity in providing items we can use directly allows us to focus more fully on caring for children. Every gift, large or small, plays a part in building an environment where healing and hope can take root. Please reach out should you have any questions
Items accepted
- New or like-new clothing, shoes, accessories for children ages 6-19
- Toiletries – body wash, hair products, deodorant, dental care, razors, lotion
- Household products – laundry pods and dryer sheets, household cleaning products, dishwasher pods, paper towels, new XL twin bed sheets, new bath towels, shower curtain liners, new pillows
- Outdoor/play items – new or like-new fishing poles and equipment, sports equipment, bikes/helmets
- School supplies
- Musical instruments
*Items need to be delivered to one of our Ranch locations – we are unable to provide pick-up services for these items
Special Cases
- Household items – we accept donations of gently used furniture and appliances on an as-needed basis. We can pick these items up if in the Gadsden, Anniston, Birmingham, or Trussville areas.
- Golf carts in good working order
- Automobiles are occasionally accepted – these items route through the Business Office and be approved by CFO.
Not Accepted
- Boats/water craft
- 4-wheelers and similar items
- We do not pick up remaining items from yard sales or estate sales
