From Wrangling to Real-World Skills
Fostering Growth and Gratitude
Our children participate in an 8-week wrangler program, learning skills, responsibility and commitment. Those who achieve Head Wrangler status take on the task of raising their own calf. They put in the work tracking spending on necessities like hay and daily care, and they develop an understanding of the cattle market to decide the right time to sell for the greatest return. After the sale, each child pays the Ranch back and then receives the margin to put toward savings, purchasing a car or another investment that contributes to their successful future.
As Big Oak Cattle continues to grow, so does each child’s confidence and self-worth.
